My parents are here in town! So far we've been to Nauvoo and have seen an amazing Memorial Day concert/fireworks show. We've got a few more days of fun planned... be prepared for picture overload when things settle down and I have time to post! :)

Swings
It's hard to deny the amount of joy a swing brings to a kid....well, at least my kids.
A trip to the park isn't complete unless there are pulling ankles and underdogs involved.

My First Video - "The Plaza"
Our anniversary was Thursday, but because Alex had a final Friday morning, we decided to wait until after his test to exchange gifts and to celebrate. I haven't seen Alex much, him being so busy and all, and so our date Friday night was one I was really looking forward to.
I was up from about 4-5:30am Friday morning with this idea for a video and couldn't get it out of my head. I thought not only would it be a fun date, but it would be something to have for the rest of our lives. I pitched the idea to Alex, and of course he was a bit skeptical. I immediately threw in the towel and just said "forget it!"
And instead of being relieved of getting out of making a video, Alex dug deeper and pulled out of me what exactly my vision was. Another reason why I love him so much... he supports me so much in my artistic ideas. So, a big thank you to him!
We had a great time...well, see for yourself!

Window Frames
I found these old windows at an antique shop nearby. They were only $5 each! Since I love printing pictures, I figured they'd hold a lot and look somewhat decent. My kitchen is still a work in progress and I think these give me a great start to get the ball rolling.

From the Kids
I told my mom over the phone that she should expect more hokey gifts from the kids/me for the next forever.
You could put little hand and footprints on anything and the grandparents love it... right?!
In other news, my mother's day was wonderful! Alex was Mr. Mom for the day... I got to stay in bed and read, he made me some egg mcmuffins for breakfast, he took care of the kids all during church (he even took over my calling for the day and did sharing time in Primary while I went to Relief Society!), I got to take a nap, and he made me a wonderful dinner. I was pretty spoiled.
Mother's Day... Can't you come more often?!
